Controller

Arrowhead Specialty is seeking a Controller to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. The Controller will have ownership of all aspects of the month-end close, internal controls, and accounting projects and support for profit centers within the Specialty division. The role requires a CPA with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of 8+ years of experience in an accounting or financial leadership role.

Requirements

• Establish a transition of Specialty accounting functions to a standalone that adheres to B&B standards, controls, and reporting deadlines.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all day‐to‐day accounting functions across the Specialty division.
• Lead and direct accounting operations for assigned legacy or newly acquired offices.
• Oversee and ensure a timely, accurate, and well‐controlled month‐end and quarter‐end close process.
• Manage the consolidation of financial data across assigned offices to support accurate internal and external reporting.
• Perform and/or review monthly CSA packages, ensuring compliance with the Brown & Brown internal control framework.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate audit standards, and public‐company control expectations.
