Job Description
The Field Engineering/Compliance Consultant will provide technical assistance to DBEs and SBEs on Construction Projects, including observation, advice on means and methods of operation, and scheduling work operations. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of field engineering inspection, construction estimating and scheduling, and ability to interpret project drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines
- Five (5) or more years in Civil Rights, Inspection or Technical Assistance Programs
- VDOT Inspection certifications (current) in environmental controls, soils
- Knowledge of construction estimating and scheduling, and ability to read and fully understand project drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- ProjectWise, Primavera and AutoCAD preferred
