Job Description
The Medical Assistant to the Medication Assistance Program supports the delivery of integrated behavioral health and medical services for patients receiving Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). The role provides clinical support to providers, coordinates MAT-specific workflows and promotes patient engagement and adherence within established protocols.
Requirements
- Prepares treatment rooms and ensures readiness for MAT and behavioral health visits
- Assists providers with examinations and MAT-related care
- Performs CLIA-waived testing (e.g., urine drug screens) in accordance with protocols
- Monitors and maintains medical equipment and supply inventory
- Communicates with patients via telephone and other means to confirm appointments, provide information, etc.
