Senior Structural Designer Design - Indirect

We are Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components and building services to the professional market. As a Senior Structural Designer, you will be responsible for designing and completing layouts of residential roof and floor systems, while providing expert recommendations to customers and third parties. This position requires proactive analysis and deduction skills, as well as the exercise of discretion and independent judgement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry
• Proficient technical writing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Reading and interpreting blueprints in an architectural related industry
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office products, AUTO CAD, and other design programs
