Job Description
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our CoinDesk Data Engineering Team. As a technical leader, you will drive the technical evolution of our services, architect resilient systems, and elevate engineering excellence. You will have 8+ years of experience in backend development, expertise in distributed systems, and a proven track record in a Staff, Principal, or equivalent technical leadership role.
Requirements
- 8+ years in backend development
- Deep experience in designing, building, and operating complex, large-scale distributed systems
- Expertise in distributed systems, including synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns
- Practical experience with modern databases
- Full lifecycle ownership, including CI/CD pipelines and robust observability
- Quality as a feature, including comprehensive testing strategies
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
