Senior Engineer, Custody Engineering (C++, L1 Onboarding)

Bullish is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Custody Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and maintaining high-performance C++ libraries and services, building core custody solutions, and driving continuous optimization for latency, throughput, and system resource usage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production systems
• Deep technical command of modern C++ (C++11/17+), including STL, Boost libraries, and template metaprogramming
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, multi-threading, concurrency patterns, and inter-process communication (IPC)
• Commitment to rigorous unit testing, performance benchmarking, and debugging low-level system failures
• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment
• Ability to articulate architectural decisions and low-level trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across global teams
