The project engineer will be involved in the design and construction of new projects and modification of existing equipment and efficiency improvements as required to meet safety, commercial expectations, maximize operating efficiencies and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, agricultural, electrical, or chemical engineering required
- 6 - 9 years of experience, in plant operations, maintenance and safety is required
- Proficiency with applicable computer software packages including AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
- Knowledge of design codes and government regulations affecting the industry including NFPA 36, NFPA 61, OSHA and EPA is preferred
- Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and interest with strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates organizational and planning capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative team player
- Has worked on projects of $2.5M - $5M, that are very complex projects that impact the entire plant operations
- Has completed projects successfully on time and on budget that met expectations and responsibilities including safety compliance and incorporating safety in design and operations of project
- Has been responsible for quantifiable improvement in KPI efficiency with value creation annually 500K
- Has directed third party contractors, mechanical, electrical, and engineering firms, across a fully integrated plant
- Must be able to understand Bunge Policies and when they are applied
- Must be able to manage safety requirements and implementation with reports and contractors
- Must be able to able to cover Department Manager for PTO
