Job Description
The Biologist II is responsible for helping to develop innovative, game-changing therapies for the treatment of neuro-pain diseases and their associated complications. Primary responsibilities are leading multiple animal studies including but not limited to in-vivo animal handling skills and dosing, designing, collecting behavioral data and presenting analyzed results.
Requirements
- Support Multiple in-vivo animal studies
- Design and conduct rodent in-vivo pharmacology studies
- Dosing study animals using the following: PO, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, and intraperitoneal
- Collect behavioral data of various modalities
- Collect fluid and tissue samples
- Perform animal tissue dissection, basic trimming, and fixation
- Prepare frozen tissue or formalin fixation paraffin embedding
- Perform tissue microtomy and cryotomy using a vibratome
- Perform protein assays such as BCA, Western blotting, ELISAs
- Identify, troubleshoot and provide suggested technical solutions to clients and management
- Prepare written technical reports
- Perform basic data analysis as assigned
- Assist with training
- Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies
- Follows the guidelines set forth by clients and the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan
- Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System
