Laboratory Technician

This role supports the overall operation of the Pre-Processing department by ensuring all procedures are completed safely, accurately, and within required timelines. The position provides essential hands-on support in sample receiving, distribution, preparation, weighing, and basic analysis.

Requirements

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols and the BV Code of Ethics.
• Perform general lab support duties, including sorting, distributing, pre-processing, weighing, and assisting with sample analysis.
• Prioritize and manage workload using SAIL and LIMS systems based on rush requests, hold times, and client deadlines.
• Conduct basic data analysis and reporting under supervision.
• Ensure all quality control requirements are met and maintain audit compliance.
• Consistently meet assigned turnaround times and changing deadlines.
• Apply proper lab techniques to prevent sample loss, mislabeling, or cross-contamination.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (Good Housekeeping standards).
• Assist with special projects and provide support across the department as needed.
