Director of Manufacturing Engineering

BURGA is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the engineering backbone of a fast-scaling global manufacturer, driving strategy, building leadership capability, and ensuring product quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a multi-team leadership role
• Proven experience managing teams of 15+ people across multiple functions
• Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt — or equivalent demonstrated competency in practice (Optional)
• Direct budget ownership experience (>500k EUR or equivalent)
• Hands-on knowledge of OEE, SMED, VSM, FMEA, and CI methodologies — not just theoretical
• Experience in high-mix, high-volume consumer product manufacturing
• Strong data analysis skills — decisions must be evidence-based
• Ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a fast-moving environment
