Quality Control/Assurance Process Engineer 1

BWXT is seeking an early career Quality Control/Assurance Process Engineer to provide engineering support across various sections of the Quality Control department in the Nuclear Operations Group Lynchburg.

Requirements

• Develops and delivers unique engineering solutions related to inspection equipment and quality assurance processes.
• Creates and updates drawings and procedures.
• Troubleshoots issues and develops paths forward.
• Ensures compliance to contract specifications (contract, drawing, etc.).
• Interprets contract and drawing requirements to create/modify Operating Procedures, Guidelines, Forms, and Programs.
• Authors customer submittals to support component certifications.
• Designs/Installs various types of inspection related equipment.
• Supports and maintains custom and industry standard inspection related equipment.
• Trains and qualifies shop floor personnel on various required inspections.
• Prioritizes and coordinates multiple engineering activities.
• Performs process monitoring on applicable processes and products.
• Participates in design, testing, analysis, project management, and procurement of materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
