System Design Engineering Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead

We are seeking a System Design Engineering Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead for our Advanced Technologies location in Lynchburg, VA. The IPT Lead will be responsible for leading project schedules and budgets, coordinating system design activities, and facilitating the identification and resolution of technical challenges. The position will work with a cross-functional team to develop innovative new nuclear reactors, nuclear rocket propulsion systems, and radioisotope production systems.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or similar discipline)
• A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience
• Must have a technical background in system design
• Must be proficient standard Microsoft Office applications
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to self-direct with minimal day-to-day supervision
• Must be a strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required
