Manage financial matters related to a portfolio, provide support to senior managers, and oversee the training and technical development of senior accountants and accountants.
Requirements
- Coordinate initial and ongoing training to senior accountants and accountants
- Review and approve quarterly audit binders and assist in closing the books process
- Review financial statements for lenders, joint venture partners, and third parties
- Analyze and interpret tenant leases and assist in complex transactions
- Ensure tenants are billed all rental and additional charges per their lease
- Participate in the review and presentation of quarterly revenue, NOI, and depreciation variance analysis
- Perform regional straight-line rent responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing and posting journal entries
- Responsible for reviewing all monthly fixed assets, recurring billings, and lease log
- Responsible for managing departmental and regional timelines
- Responsible for ensuring all accounting complies with legal documents
- Provide support to the Finance & Capital Markets team
- Assist in the transition of acquisitions, dispositions, and new developments
- Work jointly with various corporate and regional departments
- Liaison to external audit teams
- Review capital calls, construction loan draws, and reporting related to development projects
- Collaborate with peers to discuss process improvements and best practices
