Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing assigned commodities from multiple vendors, maintaining service levels agreements, and partnering with vendors to manage product flow.

Requirements

• Place purchase orders from vendors into buying system
• Create and pull reports to manage and track inventory levels
• Negotiate with vendors and customers to maximize product flow
• Utilize system tools to analyze and react to purchasing trends
• Mentor Buyer Assistants
• Interact with customers to communicate successes and resolve issues
• Partner with merchandising group on pricing and gross profit goals
• Assist with seasonal volume, storm recovery, and absences
