This is an evergreen position, meaning we accept applications year-round and review them on a rolling basis as new opportunities become available. As the Tower Technician II, you will work throughout various job sites within Alaska performing general construction duties as part of the STG construction crew in extreme Alaskan conditions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Five (5) years or more experience in the construction field, with at least three (3) of the years of experience specific to tower erection in rural arctic environments required
- Must have prior experience working with microwave antennas
- Experience sweeping waveguide required
- Tower Safety and Rescue Certification required within 3 months of hire
- Rigging certification required within 6 months of hire
- CDL required within 12 months of hire
- First Aid/CPR training or ability to become certified
- Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of STG’s Driving Policy
- Ability to pass a drug, driving (if applicable), and background screening
