The Child & Family Specialist is a key team member in the Great Beginnings Department, focusing primarily on CALM's Home Visitation Program. This role partners with families in natural environments to provide education and support for parents with children from prenatal to age three, aiming to strengthen parent-child bonds and promote healthy development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education with mental health experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant work and/or lived experience with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children and families in community health, case management, early care and education, and/or doula support preferred.
- Strong commitment to CALM's mission, vision, and strategic plan

- Proven skills in problem-solving and decision-making with good judgment

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Able to prioritize competing responsibilities, with effective time management skills
- Flexibility to accommodate evening appointments as needed
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Reliable transportation to travel throughout Santa Barbara County to conduct in-home visits and related community outreach events
