Power Trader

Calpine is seeking a Power Trader to join its team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for buying and selling energy in the intermediate-term power and gas markets to maximize profitability while ensuring alignment with Calpine's portfolio strategy. The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of power & gas markets, market tariffs, price formation, and supply/demand fundamentals.

Requirements

• Solid, working knowledge of power & gas markets, market tariffs, price formation, and supply/demand fundamentals.
• Experienced professional with full understanding of energy markets, trading, and analytical techniques.
• Strong analytical ability including skills to integrate complex logic into models in excel as well as other technical platforms.
