Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for safely and properly repairing commercial trucks and various equipment in the repair shop setting and out on road calls.

Requirements

• Diagnoses and repairs all types of gas and diesel equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair and clean commercial trucks and equipment
• Check, prioritize and repair equipment write-ups
• Maintains accurate parts inventory
• Repairs and maintains shop tools and machinery
• Prepares and enters work orders
• Makes emergency field repairs
• Works in a safe manner
• Attends safety meetings
• Performs other related duties
