This is a part-time Automation Engineer Intern position with approximately 20-25 hours per week. The position involves designing and implementing Distributed Control System (DCS)-based and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based systems, as well as participating in system testing, assembly, and internal development projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Science engineering, graduating by 2026 or 2027.
- Strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate technical concepts.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Team attitude and willingness to coordinate projects internally.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team.
- Works well under pressure, sometimes meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills in the use of creative learning techniques (using all tools available to obtain solutions).
- Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Prior work, internship, and/or research experience in a professional setting.
- Strong experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel).
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware/software functionality.
