Middle School Substitute Teacher

Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa is seeking a Middle School Substitute Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and be able to plan, organize, and implement a robust instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment. Responsibilities include teaching, mentoring, and managing student behavior, as well as participating in department, school, and parent meetings. A B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field, California State certification in teaching, and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing are required. The teacher must also be able to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as sit for periods of time.

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field
• California State certification in teaching in appropriate subject area
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
