Security Guard, CAMBA Gardens I

CAMBA is seeking a Security Guard for its CAMBA Gardens I location in Brooklyn, NY. The Security Guard will maintain access control, detect and prevent fires and vandalism, and provide directions to visitors. The ideal candidate will have a NYS Security Guard license and one year of relevant experience.

Requirements

• Maintain access control and traffic inside facilities
• Detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules
• Maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved
• Protect employees, visitors and tenants
• Provide directions to visitors
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality
• Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures
• Comply with Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices
• Monitor and ensure the security and fire safety of the entire facility
• Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills
• Patrol buildings and grounds of facilities
• Examine doors, windows, gates and all fire exits
• Observe and report irregularities
• Monitor tenants and facility via security camera systems
• Conduct fire safety patrol
• Conduct security screenings of all tenants and visitors
• Issue commendations
• Counsel tenants
• Document incidents in the security log book
• Maintain assigned equipment
• Sign equipment in and out for each shift
