Job Description
Canacre is seeking an Environmental Monitor to conduct environmental monitoring throughout the construction of various energy development projects. The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of professional experience as a Biologist, Environmental Monitor, or related role.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field of study
- 5-7 years professional experience as a Biologist, Environmental Monitor, Environmental Inspector, Environmental Planner, or related role
- Wildlife experience, e.g., at least one field season of demonstrated experience in nest sweeps or avian surveys
- Experience related to linear projects, e.g., pipeline, transmission line, and renewable energy construction
- Leadership training, certification related to erosion and sediment control, and knowledge of other biophysical disciplines
