The Associate Manager, Investment Operations is responsible for managing key aspects of Investment Operations functions and daily fund valuations. This position provides oversight in our daily procedures and activities, and provides guidance and training to other employees in the unit.
Requirements
- University degree, majoring in accounting and/or finance
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) is an asset
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be considered an asset
- Experience with segregated funds, mutual funds and securities/investments would be considered an asset
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong leadership skills with ability to lead processes and develop strong team members
- Experience with supervising and/or leading employees within a team environment
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deal with fluctuation work volumes, and possible competing priorities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written form, including experience delivering difficult messages and drafting formal business memos
- Self-motivation with a passion to learn and embrace new challenges
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and advanced Excel functions
- Strong attention to detail
