Join the Multi-Unit Borrower Financial Analysis (MUBFA) team within the Business and Portfolio Operations Division, in the Senior Specialist, Credit Risk and Financial Analysis position. In this role, you will provide credit opinions on large borrowers by identifying, analyzing, and assessing associated risks, and offering recommendations regarding CMHC’s continued insurance business.
Requirements
- Act as the subject matter expert and coach and mentor members of the team.
- Establish financial review and monitor framework on large borrowers and provide subject matter expertise to internal & external clients.
- Perform complex financial analyses and manage the end-to-end credit review process, while providing guidance to internal clients on financial aspects, such as financial reviews, credit analysis, risk management policies and procedures.
- Work closely with external clients and counterparties, reviewing borrower financials submitted by lenders and preparing recommendations for credit committee approval.
- Ensure that the functional business unit is compliant with corporate policies and follows industry best practices.
- Ensure that appropriate systems are in place for effective and efficient credit risk analysis, monitoring and reporting.
- Develop and support the development of policies, methodologies, procedures, analytical modelling and risk management information systems.
- Develop and deliver seminars for various internal/external stakeholders.
