Canada Post is seeking a temporary assistant in a post office who adopts a customer-focused approach when providing counter service to customers. The ideal candidate should reside in the community in question.
Requirements
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and the population;
- Sort, distribute, and properly process mail;
- Provide customers with information and forms;
- Handle delivery and service-related difficulties to quickly and completely resolve problems.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent provincial, or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience related to interacting with the public in retail sales and/or customer service, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of standard accounting systems or post office systems
- Sufficient physical fitness to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for long periods
- Flexibility to be available for temporary on-call tasks
