Express Underwriter

Canal Insurance Company is seeking an Express Underwriter to evaluate, select, and price commercial automobile risks. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience, with a minimum of three years of underwriting experience and exposure to commercial auto.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience
• Minimum of three years experience in underwriting with exposure to commercial auto
• Basic understanding of exposure identification, evaluation, quantification, and classification
• Basic understanding of application of proper rates and ability to analyze rate adequacy
• Intermediate computer skills (Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Internet, e-mail)
