Senior Liability Claims Adjuster

Canal Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Liability Claims Adjuster to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of experience in claims handling, and advanced knowledge of insurance and tort law, litigation, and terminology. The role involves analyzing and adjusting litigated commercial claims, managing litigation budgets, and collaborating with attorneys. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
• 7+ years adjuster experience in handling bodily injury claims
• Training, working team lead, or informal leadership experience
• Experience adjusting transportation (trucking) liability claims
• Commercial auto claims required
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of insurance and tort law, litigation, and terminology as it relates to insurance operations
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Experience litigating claims and working with inside and outside panel counsel
• Experience adjusting claims involving moderate to severe injury
• Intermediate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Internet, e-mail) required
