Design Engineer

Design Engineer at Canam Steel Corporation. Design and check building components - steel joists and metal deck - in accordance with contract documents to meet industry codes, practices, shop schedules, and consistent with corporate mission, values and department objectives.

Requirements

• BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering with preference for structural emphasis
• Professional licensure, or appropriate qualifications to obtain future licensure, preferred
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications, governmental regulations, drawings and job specifications
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; familiarity with computers, spreadsheets and design software
• Ability to speak effectively with customers
