Quality Assurance Manager

Canam Bridges is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the implementation of a Quality Management System and ensure quality is built into the product. The successful candidate will work with various departments and subcontractors to achieve this goal.

Requirements

• Work under the direction of the Director, Project Management
• Maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) that effectively builds quality into the product
• Provide technical planning on assigned projects
• Daily communications and audits of work methods and behaviors towards defects and processes
• Challenge work methods to minimize defects and rework
• Develop measurable KPI and goals to quantify improvements
• Provide a weekly quality performance report to management
• Work hands on with the workforce to determine required training and best practices
• Work with Quality Control Manager and Production Superintendent to improve daily performance of QMS
• Perform daily Gemba Walks and observe/review all manufacturing functions
• Receive and review quality plans from subcontractors and ensure compatibility with project requirements
• Attend project management meetings to stay abreast of project obstacles and solutions
• Attend quality control meetings to stay abreast with quality obstacles and solutions
