Electrician

Canfor is a highly Automated Sawmill seeking an Electrician to perform day-to-day preventive maintenance tasks and repair of electrical power and electronic equipment, troubleshooting, PLC programming, and assisting with mechanical repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a sawmill or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment would be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset.
