Job Description
Canoo is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to manage daily operational activity of our cloud infrastructure and lead the creation and improvements of Infrastructure as Code throughout the enterprise. The successful candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, programming and scripting knowledge, and expertise with CI/CD systems and their pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of working with cloud infrastructure
- Strong programming and scripting knowledge, e.g., Terraform, Bash, Helm, Golang, Groovy
- Expertise with one of CI/CD systems and their pipelines, both cloud and on-prem: Jenkins (preferred), CircleCI, ArgoCD, GitlabCI
- Familiarity with software configuration management systems and source code version control systems (git, bitbucket, svn)
- Understanding of designing and developing architecture for cloud-based applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of cloud native tools and managed cloud offerings (CNCF, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with cloud native platforms and tools including Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, AWS CLI, GCP CLI, Cloudflare, JFrog Artifactory
- Solid understanding of 12 Factor application methodogy
- Understanding observability initiatives such as dashboards and alerts using tools such as AWS Cloudwatch, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, Jaeger
- Understanding of PCI-DSS, CCPA, and GDPR compliance
