Senior Mechanical Engineer

Canoo is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development and validation of cutting-edge electric vehicle electronics. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in automotive powertrain development and validation, strong communication skills, and a strong understanding of mechanical and thermal physics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of Automotive powertrain development and validation experience, including rotating component, housing, electric machine, and NVH disciplines
• Strong communication skills and experience with presenting results and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
• First-hand experience on development and validation of electronics components and assemblies from prototype into production scenarios
• Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal physics
• Experience of Test-Simulation correlation in the component / sub-system / models
