The Forklift Lead is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor(s) in all areas of Warehouse Operations by providing leadership to the team, training and evaluating Warehouse processes, and maintaining the ability to provide expertise and hands-on assistance in any area of warehouse operations when required.
Requirements
- Maintain familiarity with and understanding of stock levels within the warehouse daily and check the range of duties assigned for the current day.
- Provide team with necessary information and tools to effectively perform duties.
- Oversees the proper completion of work tasks and provide hands-on assistance when needed.
- Record pre-use checks in the provided system or the vehicle logbook as required.
- Check the delivered quantities and condition of the goods recording data on the receiving form accurately.
- Unload goods, packaging, raw materials and other from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places using FLT.
- Use the SAP RFID scanning system equipment correctly following set orders and assigned tasks to ensure accuracy of inventory.
- Coordinate to ensure RF monitors are in good working order.
- Transport materials to the production department complying with FIFO procedures.
- Select /sort packaging materials when required and assist with stock take.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of CP systems, including performing internal audits as required.
- Safely exchange fork truck gas cylinders, refill fuel tank, or replace, re-charge batteries (whichever applies).
- Ensure warehouse documentation: inbound, outbound, and other orders are recorded and held in the SAP system and other programs.
- Coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product and picking/staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.
- Coordinates and verifies required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
- Ensures efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
- Participates in establishing work schedules ensuring correct implementation.
- Must adhere to all plant GMP and BRC requirements.
- Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
- Assist Warehouse Coordinator in the day-to-day duties.
