Surgical Coordinator

The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for administrative duties and correspondence regarding scheduling of surgical operations in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and be familiar with referral processes and details of insurance rules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years experience in a medical office
• Previous experience in surgery scheduling and/or charge entry preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, managing medical records, medical coding, Medicare, Commercial Insurance and referral and Authorization processes
