Maintenance Technician

Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary, implement preventative maintenance measures, maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies, complete inspections of buildings, units, office and amenity space as needed, respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol, perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have basic knowledge of construction and repair processes
• Must have a valid driver’s license, own transportation and tools
• Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment
• General maintenance knowledge and construction skills
• Ability to comprehend instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
• Exhibits behaviors of honesty, commitment to goal achievement and effective relationships with colleagues
• Self-starter with the ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
