Performs all CT procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of specified diseases or conditions.
Requirements
- Performs all procedures designed within the CT Section of Radiology
- Demonstrates competency and efficiency in the treatment, care of and interaction with all patients of any age group
- Responsible for the prompt completion and accurate recording of exam begin and end time in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Provides a safe environment to include but not limited to radiation exposure, contrast administration and infection control guidelines/Universal Precautions
- Maintains exceptional guest relations with patient, visitors, hospital staff and medical staff
- Monitors the timeliness of exams and quality of care based on established department goals, striving for continuous quality improvement
- Performs QA of exams (correct order, accurate/complete image annotation, correct laterality, and correct presentation state) prior to sending to radiologist for interpretation
- Actively participates in helping the department reach patient satisfaction goals by providing quality care, explaining procedures, and performing procedures in a timely manner
