Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution with appropriate clinical training in the testing of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients
- MLS(ASCP) required
- Appropriate clinical training in the testing of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
- Possess skills for accepting responsibility, making decisions, and working as a team.
- Ability to operate equipment at sitting or standing levels.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work additional hours or shifts and under stress.
- Effective communications skills to include listening, writing, talking, and reading. Ability to communicate via telephone, LIS, email and verbally.
- Knowledge of laboratory functions and specimen requirements
