The Ultrasound Technologist is fully competent to perform all diagnostic ultrasound procedures for the diagnosis of specified diseases or conditions.
Requirements
- 1 year minimal experienced preferred
- New graduates may apply that are registered or registry eligible
- Maintain current AHA CPR certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department
- Demonstrates technical skills and expertise in performing diagnostic and vascular sonography
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills
- Verbal and written skills required
- Demonstrates compassionate patient care
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and understands the range of treatment needed for all age groups
- Provides care based on the patient’s developmental needs
- Experienced in the delivery of effective patient care and interacts effectively with patients of all ages
- Must be able to communicate orally
- Must have dexterity and visual acuity
- Must have mobility to assume awkward positions
- Must have mobility to respond to emergency situations
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend and lift
- Position may involve skin, eye, or mucous membrane contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
