Job Description
Regions Hospital is seeking a bright, organized Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team in our Mental Health department. The HUC provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors through welcoming behaviors, effective communication, and information sharing.
Requirements
- Independent performance of clerical/receptionist functions on a patient care unit
- Facilitation of communication between staff, patients, families and care providers, and between the unit and other hospital departments
- Organization and maintenance of unit supplies
- Preparation and maintenance of patient records
- Data entry into the computerized patient information system
- Serving as a resource person to medical staff regarding hospital protocols
