Government Relations Spec II

Government Relations Specialist II position at Texas Cyber Command, performing advanced government relations and consultative work. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Responsible for implementation of agency governmental relations activities related to legislative issues, communicating pertinent information to staff, and developing legislative materials for potential future legislation.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in English, journalism, communications, business, public affairs, political science, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) sessions of government relations or legislative experience, with at least two sessions as a member of legislative staff.
• Experience or familiarity with state and federal regulations and state acquisition policies and procedures.
