LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE/VOCATIONAL NURSE

The LPN/LVN provides direct nursing care to the client as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulations as established by the Michigan State Board of Nursing, the client, and the policies of the Organization.

Requirements

• graduate of an accredited school of Practical/Vocational nursing
• Current Michigan LPN/LVN licensure
• One (1) year experience as an LPN/LVN in a clinical setting
• Current CPR certification
• Possess technical nursing skills as defined by generally accepted nursing standards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess flexibility and the ability to fit in as a team member
• At least one year's general nursing experience in a clinical area i.e. Medical/Surgery, Oncology, or Critical care
• Able to function independently
• Current CPR Complies with accepted professional standards and principles
• Has excellent observation, oral and written communication skills
• Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization requirements and is in good working order
• Is dependable, organized, flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation
• Ability to speaks, write and read English
