Job Description
We are hiring a Senior DataStage Developer for our premier client. The successful candidate will have advanced experience developing and supporting IBM DataStage ETL solutions in an enterprise environment. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining IBM DataStage ETL jobs, supporting day-to-day operations, and enforcing coding standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced experience developing and supporting IBM DataStage ETL solutions in an enterprise environment
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex ETL and batch processing issues
- Experience supporting production systems with operational and on-call responsibilities
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Technical Skills: IBM DataStage (job design, deployment, administration support), ETL / ELT best practices and data integration patterns, SQL Server and other relational databases, Linux / shell scripting, Job scheduling tools (IWA or equivalent), Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD and work tracking tools, Data governance, data security, and compliance awareness
- Key Competencies: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Ability to work independently in a production support environment, Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, Attention to detail and commitment to data quality, Ability to mentor junior developers and uphold engineering standards
