Assistant Director of Nursing

Join our team as a clinical team leader at one of our state of the art, skilled nursing facilities. The Assistant Director of Nursing is a process-oriented person who works directly with the facility DON and nursing team to implement the nursing systems and processes to ensure the facility meets the medical, physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of all patients.

Requirements

• Assists and supports the DON and possesses a thorough understanding of the DON job description
• Supports the overall facility goals, policy and chain of command
• Resource nurse for patient care related questions or problems
• Monitors patient care and environment
• Oversees the clinical systems in the facility
• Assists with system/process education for the nursing team
• Accepts, researches and solves complaints/concerns regarding new admissions
• Assists as need in the interviewing, hiring and coaching of the nursing team
• Performs chart/charting audits to ensure proper care, treatments and documentation
• Acts as a member of the Infection Control and QAPI Team
• Assists with nursing meetings on all shifts
