We are looking for a Principal AI Engineer to join our AI Solutions team at CarGurus. As a Principal AI Engineer, you will design and build AI-powered workflows and agent-based systems that transform how teams operate across the company. You will work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, map existing workflows, and identify high-leverage opportunities for AI.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience designing APIs, services, and data pipelines
• AWS fluency
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or AI-powered applications
