Carleton College seeks an Assistant Director of the Office of Intercultural Life to provide office administration and program coordination, with a focus on supporting students of color and creating a diverse and welcoming campus community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of full-time professional experience directly related working in a similar environment and/or with similar populations
- Knowledge of the history and current impact of systems on the experiences of students of color in higher education
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, anticipate needs, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Tendency to take initiative and ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to act with a high level of courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
- A growth mindset, a commitment to learning, and a desire to continuously improve
- Computer proficiency, including experience with MS Office products and Google Suite
