The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department at Carnegie Mellon University is looking for a Summer Research Intern to contribute to the development, optimization, and validation of in vitro models relevant to airway biology.
Requirements
- High School or Equivalent
- Strong interest in biology and biomedical engineering and be motivated to acquire new technical and conceptual skills
- Hands-on experience with sterile technique, cell maintenance, differentiation protocols, and experimental assays for assessing cellular responses
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining careful experimental records
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to laboratory safety and good research practices
