Job Description
Carolina Poly, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team in Chester, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching employees on proper work methods and practices, conducting safety audits, and advising on methods to minimize safety risks.
Requirements
- One-year experience in the Safety/Environmental field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Associates degree or equivalent hours in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Business, or other relevant field
- Working knowledge of basic software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, etc.)
- Working knowledge of federal safety (OSHA) regulations and required programs in the manufacturing environment (29 CFR 1910)
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in all formats, including verbal, written & presentations
- Ability to accept coaching and guidance and work in a team environment
