Job Description
Shalmet is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, test, calibrate, repair, install, fabricate, construct, adjust, lubricate, maintain, dismantle and clean all mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of industrial maintenance experience and a technical trade school or related college field degree.
Requirements
- A resume outlining qualifications and experience
- Pass testing for related trade
- Technical trade school or related college field preferred
- Two years industrial maintenance experience required
- High School diploma or GED required
- Overtime, if requested, is required
- Read, write and understand instructions
- Use basic math for measuring and required calculations
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints
- Possess knowledge of general maintenance procedures, safety procedures, mechanical components and trade terminology
- Achieve forklift, crane, high lift certifications
- Complete confined space training
- Basic computer skills
- Work order system
