Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the manufacturing efforts for the commercial and clinical processes of inhaled products (DPI and nasal) and other formulations compatible with the equipment available at the Catalent Morrisville site.
Requirements
- Collaborate with the Process Development Group on new product introductions, including the design and sourcing of custom equipment
- Provide engineering expertise for the design, specification, and installation of automation systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose control system problems, working closely with maintenance and technicians
- Examine, design, and implement industrial-improved processes and solutions
- Ensure that all automation designs and technical documentation adhere to GMP standards
- Develop and implement improved and robust control strategies for manufacturing processes
- Train users on control system functionality (Programmable Logic Controller, Computer/Control Networks, Control Computers, and Instrumentation)
- Field wiring practices and panel design, troubleshooting and start-up of control systems, and experience with instrumentation is required
