Senior Financial Accountant

Catawiki is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Accounting & Reporting team. The role involves managing accounting areas, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, and partnering with stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting questions. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to independently manage accounting responsibilities in an international and fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or similar, preferably obtained in Portugal
• Certified Accountant (Contabilista Certificado) status or equivalent
• Solid experience in financial accounting, preferably in an international, marketplace, e-commerce, platform or tech environment
• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles; IFRS knowledge is a plus
• Experience supporting audits and working with internal or external stakeholders
• Experience with Workday Financials is a plus
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
